We are excited to welcome everyone back for another Lammas Festival!
Lammas is the first harvest festival of the year and is celebrated by much feasting on all things made of grain. It is also a time of much merry-making as the first grains of the season are collected from the fields. The festival is held near the Nooksack River.
July 31st to August 2nd. Friday you’ll show up after 10am to set up your campsite. Then there will be a town meeting, land blessing, a women’s ritual, and a drum circle. We’ll start Saturday with games, then workshops, followed by building the bread goddess, main ritual, and another drum circle. We’ll start Sunday with a community breakfast, then cleanup, pack-up, and head out.
The suggested donation per adult is $30 for Friday, $40 for Saturday, or $60 for the whole weekend. Kids 17 and under are free. Give your donation to Elaine when you arrive.
Bring bread for the Bread Goddess, a side or dish that goes with bread, beer or your other favorite drink, athletic attire for the games, swim suit, drum, sunscreen, and camping gear. You can also bring breakfast foods for the Sunday community breakfast if you like.
This is a primitive campsite with tent camping and car camping only. You will need to bring all of your camping supplies, food, water, clothes, cooking, sleeping, etc. Prepare for hot during the day chilly at night. Potable water on site. Be sure to bring sunscreen and bug repellent. Pack it in, pack it out.
